The students in Mr. Ray's classroom not only are expected to develop science skills and knowledge, they are gaining valuable 21st Century Skills.  These skills are developed throughout the school year as expectations and requirements become more complex.  Students will be challenged to think critically and expand their problem-solving techniques.

Along with these skills, the students in Mr. Ray's classroom will be assessed and challenged through the five disciplines associated within the Iowa Core.  Each of the five disaplines are explained in the next column.  With proficiency in these areas, the students should be maturing towards successful 21st Century adults.

We need to prepare students for THEIR future not OUR past.
